In addition to its status as a Joint Commission, the LACPC Corporation Non-Profit serves local law enforcement, public safety agencies and fire departments, as a qualified, non-profit, Group Purchase Organization under ACT 663 of the 2024 Regular Legislative Session.  As of August 1, 2026, the LACPC - Louisiana Municipal Departments Group Purchase Organization serves the needs of the LMA's member municipalities and parishes. The GPOs are open to all Louisiana fire, police and public safety agencies, municipalities, parishes and special districts.
